Cidepe at Bett Brasil 2026: what the largest education event in Latin America revealed about the future of laboratories.
by Daniel Marzullo, Commercial Director of Cidepe
From May 5th to 8th, 2026, São Paulo hosted another edition of Bett Brasil, the largest event for applied technologies in education in Latin America. Four days of congress, exhibition and meetings that brought together manufacturers, school administrators, education secretaries, teachers and resellers from all over the country and abroad.
Cidepe was there.
As an exhibitor, for the seventh consecutive year since 2019.
Participating in this event is not a decision we revisit every cycle. Bett Brasil occupies a special place in Cidepe's strategy because no other event in Latin America concentrates, at the same time, the volume and quality of contacts that it generates. That's the point: we choose to be present, with our brand, where purchasing decisions and educational policies take shape.
What we brought and who we met
At the Cidepe booth, the proposal was the same that has guided our work for almost three decades: to show breadth. We bring equipment that caters to students from elementary school to higher education, because the teaching laboratory plays a role in all stages of scientific training, and communicating this clearly is part of our positioning.
The profile of the public that visits our booth has changed over the years. At the beginning of our participation, the presence was mostly from private schools. Bett Brasil 2026 confirmed what we had already been observing in the last editions: the event has taken on a hybrid profile. Public and private institutions circulate with the same relevance. Education departments, resellers, and school administrators of all sizes come to us with concrete questions, not just out of curiosity.
The most frequent questions follow a pattern we know well: how to get the lab up and running, how to train teachers, how to assemble the equipment correctly. This is a real and recurring concern in the sector, and that's exactly why Cidepe invests in its own specialized teams to meet these needs, from training to after-sales support.
Artificial Intelligence at a Physical Lab Event
The central theme of Bett Brasil 2026 was "Individual, Collective, and Artificial Intelligences: all within us, now!". Artificial intelligence dominated a good part of the lectures and debates at the congress. In the exhibitors' hall, the focus remained the same as always: business and technology presentations.
For Cidepe, the discussion about AI is relevant and imminent. We already use artificial intelligence in software that operates in conjunction with our physical equipment, such as in the Cidepe Stheam platform.
The concept of phygital (the integration between the physical and the digital) has taken concrete form here in recent years, with platforms such as Cidepe Digital, developed to strengthen the practical use of physical resources in the classroom. AI, therefore, enters as a partner in experimental teaching. Not as a substitute. This distinction matters. At no point during Bett Brasil 2026 was the replacement of the physical laboratory discussed. In-person experimentation with real equipment remains irreplaceable in the development of scientific literacy. Those who work in quality education know this.
What happens when educational equipment appears at a technology event
Cidepe occupies a very specific segment: we manufacture educational equipment for basic science laboratories. There are few manufacturers in the whole world that do what we do. Therefore, when someone comes across equipment that performs real educational experiments, the reaction is always one of enthusiasm and genuine interest. It is not This is the type of product people are used to seeing at trade shows.
This has a value that goes beyond immediate visibility. Being the leading Brazilian manufacturer of educational equipment for science laboratories, and being positioned among the global references in the segment, is information that the Brazilian public receives with pride. There is legitimate recognition that there is a company here in Brazil that competes and excels globally in a highly specialized niche.
We communicate this naturally. Without exaggeration, without empty promises. It's a fact of our history.
What the event said about the current state of Brazilian education
One observation that remains from each edition of Bett Brasil: there will always be room for innovation in teaching environments. In this sense, the event acts as a barometer. It shows where the sector is focusing its attention and resources.
What we observed in 2026 reinforces a trend we have already been following: experimental teaching has been gaining strength, especially in elementary education. This is important because it means that scientific literacy begins earlier. Children who experiment in practice understand science in a different way, and this impact accumulates throughout their school career.
For managers and education secretaries who were not at the event: the message is clear. The physical laboratory is one of the main ways to develop scientific literacy. At a time when the role of technology in education is so widely discussed, concrete experimentation remains paramount. This was evident in every conversation we had during those four days.
Why does Cidepe return every year?
The simplest answer is Also the truest explanation: because that's where the most qualified contacts in the sector are. Bett Brasil is, without a doubt, the leading Latin American event in the education sector. Being present means being at the forefront of the sector, in direct contact with clients and partners who make real decisions about education.
We don't participate in Bett just to mark our presence. We participate because the event delivers what no other in Latin America delivers: a density of qualified meetings, in four days, in a single place.
The next edition of Bett Brasil is scheduled for May 2027. Cidepe will be there.
lá.
